Research & Education Laboratory Manager - Health Sciences Department
The Denver Museum of Nature & Science is looking for a full time Research and Education Laboratory Manager in the Health Sciences Department to educate and supervise the laboratory staff members and volunteer citizen-scientists in basic laboratory skills, serve as an educator and teacher within the laboratory spaces of Expedition Health, and help lead an active genetics research study funded by an Science and Educational Partnership Award from the National Institutes of Health.
This person would be responsible for all day-to-day operations of the laboratory spaces which includes supplies and reagents inventory and preparation, as well as continuous training and education of laboratory volunteers, interns and visitors. In addition, the qualified candidate would develop, edit and maintain all laboratory protocols ranging from basic laboratory safety to molecular analysis of DNA samples, as well as support all compliance and grant reporting.
Masters degree in the biologic sciences preferred, however, BS or BA required, preferably in a biomedical field such as: Genetics, Physiology, Immunology or Microbiology. We are looking for candidates that have experience in a molecular research laboratory setting, at least one year of experience teaching in either a formal or informal education setting, and at least one year of staff, student or volunteer supervision. This position requires one weekend a month and night hours as necessary.

Exhibitions Project Associate
Denver Botanic Gardens is looking for a Exhibitions Project Associate.
Job summary: Research and assist with content development for exhibits and exhibit-related projects to achieve the curatorial, educational and marketing objectives of Denver Botanic Gardens. In a team environment, conceive of and organize exhibit-related programs to support the Gardens’ exhibition schedule for 2011.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in art, art history, museum studies, or related field from four-year college or university; or minimum two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills essential. Experience in a museum / cultural position preferred. Ability to work efficiently in a high-production, deadline-driven environment. Creativity. Some evening and weekend hours required.
Position Type: This is a temporary 18 month position.
Compensation: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

Operations Associate/Company Manager
Denver Center Attractions, the Broadway show division of The Denver Center for the Performing Arts is accepting applications for the position of Operations Associate/Company Manager. Primary responsibilities include:
- Responsible for creating and executing financial settlements for all DCA presentations.
- Responsible for providing local logistical support to DCA presented touring companies.
- Serves as the company manager for all DCA produced events.
- Accountable for processing all departmental payroll.
- Assist with departmental financial analysis and budgeting.
Requirements Include: High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred in theater, business or related field. Two years of experience in theatre administration preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office products with an emphasis on Excel. An excellent working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
This position is a full-time salaried position with benefits to start in mid-September.
