Overview

For Tier II qualification, organizations must meet the basic eligibility criteria and have been in existence, operating and providing services to the public for at least five years.

The 2010 qualifying threshold for all organizations to qualify for Tier II is $1,365,480.37.

NOTE: Some forms of income are excluded from the annual operating income threshold. For details, please download the Qualification Application which includes all necessary instructions.

Each organization wanting to attain SCFD Tier II status in 2010 must first qualify and then be certified according to these steps:

ATTEND Tier II Matrix and Certification Report Orientation Meetings on Friday, February 19 at 10am or Friday, March 12 at 2pm. See the Tier II calendar for more details.
SUBMIT the Qualification application on a compact disk or flash driveto SCFD by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1, 2010. No exceptions.

1. Certification Application
BE QUALIFIED by the SCFD Board of Directors. The Board meeting to approve qualifying organizations for 2010 Tier II is Thursday, June 24, 2010, 1:00 p.m. at Cherokee Ranch and Castle in Sedalia.
BE CERTIFIED. APPEAR before the SCFD Board of Directors at one of two of its regular Board meetings on Thursday, July 22 or August 26, 2010 to clarify information or answer questions as needed. The Board reviews and approves Tier II certification reports at the completion of the August meeting. You will be pre-assigned a date and time.

Due to the complexities involved, we encourage organizations that are interested in applying for Tier II funds to meet with SCFD staff prior to the application deadline.
